Shannon opened Village Hair Studio in 1993, right on Queen Street in Streetsville. Over three decades, she's become the colour specialist the neighbourhood trusts.

In 2025, she won the Mississauga Readers Choice Award — 1st place for best colour technician. For her clients, it was long overdue recognition for what they already knew.
